The Free Blackjack Tournament
CURRENTLY SUSPENDED
To qualify for this all you need to do is to log on and play at least one wager on 5 separate days. One wager can be as little as 1p! Take a spin on Double Magic slot if you feel you have not accumulated enough days worth of play. DO NOT LOSE THIS CHANCE to win big bonus money for little outlay. The top prize is worth more than the biggest new player deposit bonus at Challenge. Blackjack is an easy game as the outcome of each hand is almost 50/50 with only a slight bias in favour of the dealer. Microgaming casinos have a tendency to 'streak' so having an entry across all 7 member casinos increases your chances of having one account or more on the upswing - you will soon find out which! You can wager up to £100 per hand, and £500 at new member Phoenician (It's all PLAY money, you don't actually lose this much!) and the aim is to have as much money as you can at the end of the session. The session lasts an hour, and begins at 6pm AMERICAN Eastern Standard Time. For us in the UK this is 11pm GMT (Winter time), and will be Midnight in the Summer when we put the clocks forward. At the start all tournament accounts are funded with £500 and unlocked. At the end of the hour the accounts are locked and the remaining balances used to determine the prizes. During play you can log in and out as much as you want to enable you to play all entries. This allows for tactical play. I would suggest first trying to get each up to around £1000, this should show you which accounts are likely to run well, and you will be swiftly killed off in those that are on a 'suck'. You can then play the good runners tactically. The live scoreboard can be opened in a separate browser window to run alongside the casino in play. De-select casino options 'full screen mode' for the tournament as you will find it much easier to keep an eye on the score. If you have a home network, it will be more efficient to have an account logged in on each computer to save on wasted time while swapping accounts. If time is short, it is possible to play multihand Blackjack at £100 on each box. This allows £500 to be played in one round (Just hope the dealer busts!).
CRAP at Blackjack? - 'Munters' Table follows!
Simply look up your hand on the left, and the dealer card across the top, and play as instructed in the box. For example, if you had an Ace and a Four against the dealer King, you look up A,4 on the left and 10 across the top (The face cards are valued at 10) The box indicates 'H', which is 'Hit' (Take another card). This table, and many more, are available from www.wizardofodds.com - a site well worth a visit as it is the casino equivalent of 'Mathematical Methods and emptiers' that we all try to use on fruit machines. The table below is specifically tuned for Microgaming 'Vegas Strip' Blackjack (The one with the lowest house edge).

KEY
H - Hit (Take another card)
D - Double (Double your bet and take one FINAL extra card to make your hand)
S - Stand (End your turn and hand play to the Dealer)
P - Split (Split 2 like valued cards into 2 separate hands at same stake and play each separately
Ds - Double if allowed or Stand
This will NOT guarantee victory, but gives you the option with the best mathematical advantage, although this advantage may be slight in some situations. You can also use this table to meet general wagering requirements in ANY Microgaming casino. If your browser is suitably configured you should be able to save this table to your hard drive and print it off. You can use 'Cut & Paste' for this key.
